A new drawer unit under the tv in light colour would be a better option. If you are on a budget IKEA has lots of options, just get lots of drawers if would be much more organised and stylish then mess on the wall.

Hi there! I'm Adam, one of the designers here at Bathroom Eleven. We would usually always strip everything back as waterproofing is important to be done properly. And, as mentioned above, there may be pipes or wastes in the wall you may need access to. Better to do it all once properly, than find an issue down the line and pay twice. Thinking of building a leaning wall shelf thats as high as the wall in hallway. Anyone done similar?. Similarly how the frame for a leaning is best constructed?

The tv in our spare room is mounted on a bracket on the wall where the tv can be tilted whichever way you wish. We got it from Argos and our electrician fitted it whilst he was re-wiring the house, so very tidy. Would buying a smaller tv be an option as your tv is a bit too big for the space?
