I bought this fireplace on done deal for a bargain, and now not sure whether I like or not! I thought it was an original antique one but turns out it's a copy or replica one where the detail isn't so clear in the mouldings as I'd hoped. thought I could modernise it up a little with some patterned tiles?? and maybe paint as far as the oval piece in white? leaving the central bit black? would love your thoughts, or should I just take it out and sell it and get a stove?
