So we have home design plans that involve 8 9.6'x20' containers. But we live in the Caribbean and have never seen any container structures that aren't just e.g. offices on construction sites. So does anyone have any recommendations re insulation (don't generally use it here. typically wood or concrete construction), sound proofing, drywall/concrete board, wood/metal framing... Anything we should be aware of, look out for.... Anything Thanks!

Hi @shanagarry80, thanks for your comments! I'm not at home right now so I can't be sure how big the extractor fan actually is but it is over a 90cm hob and oven, so must be at least 90cm. It doesn't look particularly large in situ and the inbuilt lights are very good for illuminating the cooking area. Have a look at Gutmann's website; as I said in one of my earlier comments, other companies do make similar extractors but our kitchen people thought this one best, however our kitchen is now 3 years old and a lot can happen in that time! You need a 'spur' - an electrical source. You can take it from the light switch or one of the ceiling lights. If you come off the ceiling light then you can feed the wire across the ceiling and then channel it down the wall. You need an electrician to do this. You then fill the channel in the wall that you've made and hey presto you have electric where you need it.
