Hi Sarah, If these wall units are going over a hob, then there are BR requirements for a minimum height dependent on whether it is gas or elec - something in the region of 700mm I recall, but the manufacturers recommendations should always be checked ... However, if it's not above a hob then this doesn't apply! The lower the wall units the less 'useable' the counter space is - maybe try setting out the cupboards using a box or something to see how you feel with the wall cupboards at that height? A lot of appliance dealers online show the specifications and although the slide up extractor may be slim they also have a motor underneath which would need space which you won’t have because of the oven. I think your options are to make the worktop deeper, move the oven or to have an overhead extractor. If you are simply looking to avoid an old fashioned looking chimney extractor there are other options.

I had this myself recently - I ended up I did go with a wooden table - a vintage one with multiple shades so it would still contrast and not look too much/samey. I also put a jute rug beneath mine and once you dress the top with a runner and a plant/vase etc it looks great. Alternatively white always works and I love concrete but expensive - concrete resin - metal can also be a good option - I wouldn't go with glass - I feel it's dated.

We have fitted Zenith once. Customer was happy with it. Haven’t had any further feedback and it has now been installed for around 6 months so I presume all is well and good. It is a very hard product to cut, so beware. As an alternative you could look at Fenix, Mirostone, Minerva or Dekton. All these should be fabricated and fitted by qualified fitters.
