Glass brick or frosted glass in you want to keep the natural light. if not stud wall and hang some art work

Depends on your budget and if you need it to provide any sound or heat proofing... I personally love the divide. You could commission a bespoke glass artwork to fill the space. Or perhaps have some funky shelves built within it to provide place to display some treasured possessions. Hi. You could fix double sided art with rods top and bottom. This is by Dona Nelson so I haven't looked at prices but you could achieve the same with canvases and then have a similar frame built. It will obviously block some of the light but the art needn't be massive to make a statement

A modern stained glass panel would look good but also glass shelves to display items would look equally nice.

I would block up the half wall, and put a huge mirror on the wall to reflect the light coming in from the other room.Dining rooms benefit from cosy artificial light, so well placed lighting would be important,wall lights either side of the mirror and a chandelier?

I think I'd leave it as it is (assuming it is a 60's/70's type house). I would move the radiator though on the hallway side.

Hi I would put up either glass shelves or wooden ones. If they are wood you can choose different size gaps and shapes however if glass they would need to be more uniform. Here's a photo of glass shelves in a window to show what I mean. If you choose wood make sure they are varnished in keeping with other wood nearby. You could go pale like birch so they are fade into the background or walnut/teak to make a statement.

I would leave it alone, it's simple and quite lovely. I had a hole put in like this in my last house and put an oak sill on it and then some beautiful pots and shells.

If budget is an issue you could use climbing rope which you can get in all sorts of whacky colours to make a striking divider like in the pic or create some honeycomb shelving like in the staircase pic

If you need to keep the space open due to light levels, then shelves with an interesting display would work well, a glass divide/window can look odd on an internal wall, if you are not careful, although, depending on the rest of the house, the crittal window might look interesting too. Stained glass would have to look good on both sides and could be very expensive. I like the look of the climbing rope diy on the stairs, it might be worth trying that idea too. Please don't go with the fish tank, horrible expensive out of place smelly things in a nice clean home, they remind me of pet shops! It really boils down to what you like the look of best, if you really have to keep the space open, just don't forget there is nothing wrong with feeling warm in your home and there is more chance of that if you don't feel a blast of cold air every time the front door is opened, so don't rule out a proper wall if it at all possible.

Definitely a nicer radiator for a "warm welcome", excuse the pun! You could make a feature of it then have nice glass brick feature above.
