There is another poster that used a great leather treatment. I don't know if it comes in a light color but if I find out I will let you know. It made her sofa look like new.

Hi, yes it was me. :) I used the Furnitureclinic product above this fall on a dark charcoal leather couch, loveseat, chair and ottoman. I bought one kit, which includes the cleaner, dye and sealer/protectant, and it was plenty to treat all the back and seat cushions, around the frames and the backs. The stuff is amazing. Our leather was way worse than the OP's...we had dogs, and 11 years' worth of abuse. There were no cracks to fill. Just extreme color loss, which was more evident due to the darkness of the gray original color.

The key, though, is to make sure you have the kind of leather it was meant to treat. If your leather is thirsty (ie if you can drop a few drops of water on it, and it soaks in) it will accept the dye, and you'll be good to go.

Watch the videos on the website. There are some great tips and it outlines the technique--which is so easy, a kid could do it. Good luck!

I have also used the same product, different color, on a green leather couch, just on the cushions. That one also was majorly worn, cracked and discolored. It's much better now. That green didn't quite match the original (which was a vintage 1950 leather couch), but it breathed new life into an otherwise unsightly couch.

Well, if you think about it, leather is pretty easy to work with. I've dyed shoes and purses before, so I knew it was possible to do. I had not taken very good care of that gray furniture... I let it get pretty bad, and had even thought about giving up on it. I'm glad I went online and looked at ways to refurbish it. The wonders of the internet! :)

I saw a really nice sofa at the Goodwill for 135.00 and I told my daughter it would be perfect with that kit. It needed a little extra stuffing in the back cushions but otherwise it and the ottoman were in good shape just looked worn. I didn't need it but people don't realize leather is so durable.

My son and his wife also re-stuffed the backs of the sofa/loveseat that we redid, and they really look as great as the day we bought them. Amazing transformation, and completely worth it. :)
