Lovely hall. I'm not sure if this is your thing but I think F&B setting plaster (pink in 2nd pic) looks really nice against white and off black so just thinking you could paint the internal doors (would also tie in with your sofa). The logical place for a slim console seems next to the front door as there's a plug socket for a table lamp but I was going to suggest some form of wooden bench ( a reclaimed one would look lovely) to the left of the front door as it's handy for putting on shoes but I'm not sure if the hall is wide enough? If not, you could add a radiator shelf instead? Brass mirror and some good quality faux stems for the table. I've got vintage coolie hats on my stairs wall which could tie in with your lights but art would obviously also work! I would also paint the panel (?) next to the front door in the wall colour

Hi emerlee123, your hallway looks very similar in size and layout to mine, so I thought I'd share what we've done. I noticed you're on a budget and ours was done on a budget too. Hope this is helpful to visualise something similar.... Walls are painted in Dulux Blueberry White. I love this colour, it's so fresh and calm. We continued this same colour in the cloakroom and up the stairs onto the landing. Light fitting is 'Adele' pendant from John Lewis (£35). The pictures don't do the fitting justice, it's worth seeing in store if you can, it's so pretty. Flooring is oak effect laminate which we only just put down (you may notice the skirting isn't fitted yet as this is the next job on our list). I got the mirror years ago from TKMaxx. Our radiator cover was here when we bought the house. It's probably a little dated for me as I prefer a more modern look but the quality is nice so we've kept hold of it. It's a little smaller in size than yours. We have some small, simple wall art as well heading up the stairs and by the front door in white square ikea ribba frames. I remember when the modern WM collection came out and thought they were stunning. I can't really see upstairs walls properly as to suitability for wallpaper but the one to the left of the stairs on the ground floor would look great. You could consider applying decorators varnish (polyvine) over the top to protect the paper from getting dirty? Test a piece first though. Also choose a scrubbable paint for the other walls, something like Little Greene intelligent eggshell is great (although the slight sheen will show up any plaster Imperfections but it will also bounce a little light). I like the rugs although do see Sonia's point re the ground floor one 😂 Great idea for books/display. Just thinking as you're decorating anyway you could install downlights and keep the pendants rather than run other lights off it? I'm not a huge downlights fan but they do serve a purpose! Maybe run them off a separate switch to the pendants?

What about a nice warm truffle shade from Dulux? They have various options from Soft Truffle through to darker Intense Truffle. Their Easycare paint is supposed to be washable although I’ve never used it.
