Help with Kitchen splashback/Wall protection
Comments (18)Hi Amy, Have a look here, it is our splashback and other glassworks catalogues: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1lNMo-zjO2Qm1domfNMNmhrBYxmX23d6x/view?usp=sharing We do all of the splashbacks by UV printing method, you might want to learn more about it before buying splashback because if you will be going for printed one, there are many cheap alternatives that i.e. require reprinting in few years. UV Printing lasts for 70+ years. Moreover, by UV you can also do the plain colour splashback that you initially decided for, but it is going to be slightly cheaper. Have a look on pricing here https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/232760255417 Are you looking for some samples or real pictures? I can have a walk through our workshop with a camera as we have one (60x60cm) black splashback in stock waiting to be posted. #Edit: Toughened and Heat resistant is a must-have feature! Otherwise, it will not usually last for longer than few weeks, it is too easy to smash annealed glass (standard type)....See Moreindustrial glamour Splashback ideas
Comments (85)@pma - yes I thought about the silver side and although it looked better (guess because of all the silver in the room) it kind of drained the wall? Made it feel colder? Weird. I got a bronzed brass sample from the metal sheet company and before I painted the wall, you couldn’t really see all the colours in it (just looked black) Then after painting, all the bronze and colours popped out of it so I’m getting a price. Will be something we will have to save for as it will be super expensive ie probably over £600 so we are going to live with the painted wall for now and add the shelves etc then see what we think :0) Going to get some gold toned hanging lights as they might just lift that area without it being too much....See MoreHelp! Comments (14)Thank you all for the very helpful suggestions. I've ordered some samples: https://tileweb.co.uk/globe-25x75-gris-gloss-glazed-ceramic-tile.html and https://tileweb.co.uk/globe-25x75-blanco-gloss-glazed-ceramic-tile.html Both are gloss and tend to reflect the light, these 2 tiles were picked mainly for their pattern and size at 25x75 to cover the overall 48cm height of the splashback, I'll see how they look like with my layout. I also liked the splashback of the first picture sent by Sonia, which company was that from? As Lynn suggested, a darker silver grey colour or any darker grout matching the same tile, or even no grout at all would be my choice. For now, I wish you all a Happy new year. Thank you again :) Fab...See MoreKitchen splashback ideas??
Comments (13)Would you consider a mirrored splash back running from the sink to the hob but frame it with tiles. Maybe a neutral subway tile. This would definitely bounce some light through the kitchen and allow you to see what’s going on with the family/guests while you work away....See MoreChristine Willis
