Off white paint?

Hi everyone
Really need help painting my front living/ di I g room. It's quiet dark at the moment and want to paint it off white but making the room warmer? Any suggestions please!?
Something that will go with grey sofas and dark wooden floors. Thanks x

Hi. I love your rooms but it looks as if you need a few accessories which will add warmth. I'd pop a table lamp on that side table. Also consider accessories for the coffee and dining tables, your child/ren look young so if that's an issue just use flowers or a plant on the dining table and maybe a trailing plant for the bookcase. I assume you like blue so would use for cushions, you could also add a little coral, orange or yellow to add warmth (choose different textures and add some pattern). You could also add a textured throw over the arm of the velvet sofa by the door. Perhaps also consider some art with some colour. Could your fridge move to the opposite side? In terms of white paint, farrow and ball strong white might be an option, it's a very pale grey with some warmth.

What about a very light grey? This adds light and warmth when paired with the right accessories. Something similar to the home we renovated in Bath:

Hello, If you would like some texture on your walls than go for the beveled ones. Considering your colour scheme, off white wall, white cabinets, black cooker, grey tiles would definitely look amazing, unless you wish to go for a white kitchen. I would suggest you to add more black if you have got a black cooker so it will blend in perfectly to the overall look. Some decoration can do that job. Izabella StJames Design Interiors

Hi James, if you want to achieve a seamless inside / outside look I would suggest having a look at Millboard. This is a very high quality composite decking that is virtually maintenance free. Their Enhanced grain, Golden or Limed Oak would work well with the floor finish above. I always advise clients to go a shade darker for outdoor finishes compared to interior finishes as outdoor light levels are obviously brighter. The other issue you'll need to consider is levels, with a decking solution you can achieve a near flush level finish with interior flooring as decking can self drain through the narrow gaps between boards and be directed away from the house. It can also avoid any conflict you may have with air bricks or DPM levels as air flow can be maintained below deck level. Millboard have an approved contractors scheme so you should be able to find someone who's experienced in using this material in your area.

In theory the sage and plum should work really well but I agree it's making your lovely kitchen look rather drab. A quick search on Pinterest shows the majority of sage kitchens looking their most fabulous with whites, like Sonia suggests, (brilliant or off white) or cream tones.

Thank you so much Minnie101 for your advise.
I defo need to add the accessories I'm just stuck in terms of the colour on the walls. I want to go off white but I am unsure of which undertone to go for. I want to make the room much warmer and want to add the mustards I think and what you suggested sounds great.
Kids are deffo an issue but will accessories for sure :-).
Any other wall paint you can suggest?
The fridge cannot move anywhere as it's extremely heavy and it has to stay there for now :(!

I like your blue walls, but then I've just painted some of my living room walls blue! I went for F&B Clunch on the other walls, which is a difficult colour to describe - a sort of chalky white. It can look off-white in some lights, or beige and sometimes olive in others. It's definitely a warm white and really lifts the blue if you wanted to keep one of your blue walls for contrast. F&B paint is expensive, which put me off trying it at first. But I've found that I need to use far less than other paints so the cost balances out or you can get it colour matched at B&Q.

Thank you so much, but I need to get rid of the blue walls as its too dark downstairs. I'm looking to brighten it up and want to get away from the cold white blue, so looking to do just a close off white that doesn't reflect any blue and is not too harsh on the eye.

How about a very pale pink, almost copper-toned, like Rusling from Little Greene? I used it in my narrow north facing room and I absolutely love it, it warms the room but is a subtle colour.....

For a good off-white colour I've used Dulux 'Timeless' several times.

Dulux paint mixer Grey Steel 4 is a very very light grey very pale. My whole house is done in that.

Minnie101, Bath bespoke, would you mind sharing what colours the walls are painted in the images you shared. Both are really lovely and I'm also on the hunt for the right shade of grey paint for my house!
