Kitchen bar stools

Would like to add some kitchen bar stools, but unsure what style or colour as the kitchen is white, any ideas/suggestions please thank you in advance

Steel with black or white seat. (to match the appliances)
Or a pop of color, if you have an accent color.

As the only colours are white and the wood shade, you could choose virtually any colour to create a splash. Alternatively you could choose a stool with a wood veneer seat & Back. Can I suggest some possiblities in photos?

Hi really love your kitchen - lovely mix of cool, contemporary clean lines with the dash of colour: fantastic! I can understand your dilemma wrt the dining area. I'd tend to echo many of the previous comments - I would go for a smaller, simpler mirror with a plainer (probably white) frame and then I think there are a few options on table & chairs. White would work well - both for table and chairs - and then I'd jazz it up with some orange cushions and a nice runner or table mats. Really liked the white (Ikea?) chairs proposed by Joanna Zygo here: And the table works too. Alternatively, I like the grey/wood table you proposed (the second one), although I wonder if the style is a little "chunky" - thinner, simpler lines may work best with your very sleek units. While I recognise the "dangers" other have flagged wrt using too much white, I really think it would work here, and would really accentuate the inspired use of the orange highlights. As it currently stands, with the mirror and chrome table/chairs, I don't really get the full impact of those gorgeous orange lampshades - and they should be the stars of the show!

Both rooms look great, love the doors and windows too! I find the cabinet rather domineering in terms of the door and dining table. Have you considered painting that wall in something like railings (last pic) so the cabinet fades into the background and anything else will stand out? I'd then add another abstract art display similar to what's over your sofa plus a tall palm as others have suggested where the bureau is (would look great in the hall if you have room). I'd pick up more of the mid century/abstract style you have for a rug, 3rd pic is from westelm. I don't think you need anything on the window wall personally, the windows and garden views are enough. I might centre the table under the light, add a sheepskin or a throw on one of the chairs kitchen side just to break up the wooden chairs and stools. Maybe move the hydrangea to the island and swap the vase for something in mustard and add some taller eucalyptus stems. For the table some textured bowls for fruit or veg would look good maybe with a decanter or 2

Hello,

Regarding the style of the chair- this could be contemporary style, traditional or eclectic. You have got beams which is a great feature of this kitchen and such an element that should be repeated.

When it comes to styling you can mix them as well, there is no rule for it. So you can mix traditional with some modern elements or other way around.

Colourwise, you could go for warm colours, I would consider yellow, orange, red, purple, blue, green.

If you go for a particular colour you don't have in your kitchen I suggest you to repeat it for a nicer finish.

Since stools won't sit under anything why not get a high bistro table and matching stools

Hello Shelley,

Bar stools are often problematic... What's on offer with these types of chair in the design world often leaves much to be desired... I see them ruining a good kitchen over and over again, gaudy colours, ghastly design etc etc.....

So.... What about introducing another element texture wise... Concrete is a fabulously versatile material... These chairs and bar stools would be lovely by Lyon Beton.. They are beautiful in design and really comfortable- I sat in them at 100% Design... Think they would look beautiful in your kitchen complimenting the metal elements and bringing an additional aesthetic that will "sit" perfectly!! : ) )
