Is it the colour or the Art Deco style that you wanted or both?

I think it's the (faux) grandness of them and the colour. They are to go with this picture over the bed. Rest of room has some navy and green plus a few brass pieces (still a work in progress!). I have been searching for the perfect bedside lamps on and off for over a year and thought I'd found them...

The top emerald one is lovely thank you. Wallpaper going up next week, then carpets the week after (finally!!!). Then just the bedside lamps to choose to finish it all off :)

It definitely does. Slightly wary of introducing too much emerald and not achieving the look I want. I've already got a mix of styles going on, and want to pull it together rather than break the camels back with these lamps!! Going to stand back when it's decorated and decide- I'll post a pic of the final decision!

Without knowing what else is going on in the room what about a blue shade if you're nervous of more green? These velvet ones are from rockett st George and could look great against a brass lamp?

The navy velvet could really work. I'll post a few pics when it's decorated. It's a room that has slowly evolved over 5 years as we've been renovating the rest of the house, and now we're finally getting round to finishing it I'm worried it's all got a bit too eclectic! These lamps need to be right (and I possibly need to change a few other things) so I'm going to let the wisdom of Houzz help me :)

I think my whole house has ended up being eclectic! We're yet to do our bedroom too, we started off by wallpapering and buying a bed when we moved in 3 years ago and very little has happened since! I'm sure yours will look great, love the idea of blue, green and brass!

You mentioned brass, so maybe some not too chunky brass lamps with navy shades??

Not sure if I need to start a new post, but here are some pictures of finished bedroom. I'm slightly worried it doesn't all work together, but not much I can/would change (made curtains myself, chest of drawers from childhood, only just decorated etc etc). Which bedside lamps should I go for?

Hi Jen. It's looking good. I like the lamps Rachel found, the height seems good but I'd just check that they're not too wide. Were you thinking of adding cushions as these might work? Watercolour cushions could also work, dunelm had some in blue and green.

Thank you for all the suggestions. Those cushions are perfect btw! Do you think a blue/green or emerald would work then? I do love the colour. I can't decide which will work best! Three options are: Something like this from Wayfair, one of Minnie's suggestions or the TK Maxx one. Hmmm...

I agree with minnie. The colour of the last one looks like it will pick up the colour in the picture nicely.

I think it's looking good. Maybe see what you think after you've added lamps and cushions. If it was mine I might consider changing the handles on the chest to similar to pictured which I think will work nicely against the bedside tables. I might also look at a dipped vase for the chest to reference the colour blocking of the dressing table and I'd add tall faux stems. The vase is also Cox and Cox and they do a grey dipped one too which would look good

They look great in the winter with some real roses! How nice to grow your own flowers, I can't even keep rosemary in the kitchen for over a fortnight, I keep having to buy new!
