Comments (2)I think ultimately it comes down to cost. If you have the available cash to do it at one time - you may save on any planning permission costs (and the time to go through two sets) and saves you looking for contractors at different times. However, if you are worried about money, working in stages is a sensible thing to do. It also depends on what the shed/office building is. If this is a prefab type building where no planning is required (like Johnsons Garden Builds for example), then doing this first can make the renovation inside less stressful as you have somewhere to go or for extra storage etc. There are lots of variables here :)...See Moresliding doors - south facing garden
Comments (7)My garden faces south and it is unbearably hot in high summer. It’s not a big kitchen and I had vertical blinds (hated them) and now have curtains. We did have an awning fitted but it’s too small and doesn’t create much shade. There are some amazing modern pergolas that have slats that open and close which look good. Comments (3)Since few people have a big budget for renovation when they first move you may want to have a plan that can be completed in stages. This idea puts on a small side extension where the current lean to is now and by knocking the former kitchen through to the side and the dining room you have plenty of space for a good kitchen dining space the extra sitting area, utility and shower room can be adding in order of priority depending on available money....See MoreUser
