I’m the wrong person to ask as my kitchen is all one colour! Most people would like some contrast however you will very likely find the paint different on walls to wood although perhaps not such a marked difference with white. This kitchen is by Plain English and a number of theirs use the same colour which I personally like. You can obviously warm things with texture for accessories. Do you have a sample of the worktop as it may be tricky to get the whites working together? What handles and tap are you having?

I used to have plastic on my old roller blinds and they were so flimsy. I then had Roman Blinds and they came with metal chains and they are so much sturdier. If you have children it may be best to opt for child safe ones.

Funny you should ask about the paving because that another area I cannot make a decision on. We are laying Tobermore Mayfair graphite paving out the back but they don't go very well against the Liscannor stonework on the front so we need to find something that does - any suggestions would be very welcome.

EE BB most paints that are described as white have some colour in them. Unless they are like the old deluxe ones (Apple white etc) they have the three primaries in, thus making them look a bit grey. However, if you look at a paint chart you will see that some look blueish, some greenish, some creamy (Yellow) and some taupe (red or red violet) etc. This will be more or less heightened by the aspect of a room and the amount of light it gets and then changed again artificial lighting. I teach colour theory and believe me, making sense of neutrals is the hardest thing. When it comes to colour, light is the most significant thing.
