Lol AMW. There's about 15cm from top of window to ceiling & the walls are cement blocks (so no recess space). The tiled 'secret' drawer compartment looks pretty cool though. I've got a cabinet being made in oak which will have to be sufficient for my daughter. The only thing I haven't decided on yet is the punter colour material to go with my java marble tile. So any pictures or links of suitable countertop/bench tops to go with the tile & oak cabinet would be grand :)

Sorry Ira, I am not really sure what you mean from this? What is your question or design dilemma? Do you have any pictures of the space that could help? It sounds very intriguing.

Quite the transformation and hats off for making the vanity look good. It's amazing how much longer it looks without that sink breaking it up and using a horizontal vanity beneath

Could you move the doorway into the toilet to the right and extend the wall on the left to 600mm, ie the depth of a dryer or w/machine so you could then have sink, w/machine and dryer in a line at ground level. Not sure how much space that would give to get in past the toilet. Or move the doorway slightly to the right as described and relocate the toilet so its back is to the family room?
