I understand the aesthetic appeal of open shelving, but it would never work for me. I live in NYC and am pressed for space. So I prefer to keep my filled-to-the-brim shelves hidden behind cabinet doors. Makes for a cleaner look. And even behind those cabinet doors, the dust can build up. I shudder to think how quickly my stuff would get dusty and grimy if it was out there in the open.

Hi, It looks like you already have a dark wood feature mirror in that room so have you thought about having matching shelves in the same colour? Chunky floating ones would look nice to hold towels on etc. If you wanted to go even further, then you could have the wall built out so that the shelving was recessed into the wall with little lights above each shelf - but of course it's a lot more work & money!

The smart compact kitchen is an ingenious use of limited space! We love the innovative design and the different levels and widths of the shelves make it both interesting to look at and functional. The makeshift breakfast bar is a great addition as it gives the end user flexibility to create more space when necessary. We LOVE it!

Funny you should say that ED; a friend and I just decided to do our compilation show again at Edinburgh next year. We did it for the first time in 2017. It's called Laugh begins at Forty and has five or six different comedians over 40 performing every day. I'd better get the house finished!
