This is my kitchen wall need some design ideas
Comments (7)Not sure if you're wanting to keep it white but if so some ideas for inspiration. It's hard to suggest artwork for someone else but a gallery wall might be nice or trying oversize wall clocks, chalk boards etc....See MoreOdd kitchen shape. In need of design/layout ideas, thanks!
Comments (3)Does your storage cupboard need to be in that position? Just thinking that if you could shunt your cloakroom along into it then you could access your laundry from the back wall of the loo. Hope you see what I mean. Then, if you lengthen the laundry into the kitchen space a bit you would be able to have a run of cupboards/units/equipment on the left too. Then you shorten that narrow utility wall on the kitchen side by having a run of cupboards/larder or what you will on that side too. Might give you a more practical use of space in the kitchen....See MoreKitchen design ideas. HELP!
Comments (13)Thanks for this @slow @slowcoachltd. I love the idea of the peninsula (option b) because we also thought space was too tight for an island. Me and the wife do a lot of cooking so would really like a spacious kitchen with loads of storage and prep space. We really want to maximise the use of the whole space so dont mind having the kitchen across the arch. We have a seperate dining room so we plan to use the whole space for the kitchen. We will need to put in a steel beam when we remove the arched wall however the walls wont be flush. We have been told that the beams on each side of the kitchen will stick out 15cm and be 30cm wide) As for the wish list we also want an american fridge freezer, build in 5 burner hob. We have 3 kids so want enough space for them to all be able to sit at the breakfast bar. Also forgot to mention we are going to create a doorway to the dining room to make the house flow better. Haven't decided which way it will open yet though.( see pic attached) Thanks...See MoreKitchen/Breakfast room design - desperately need ideas!
Comments (3)Hi Ellie Good questions! Happy to use all 3 rooms if needed. The house is bigger than we need so will have office, den etc upstairs. Our main dining table will go in the living room as it's plenty big enough. I'll attach a floor plan so you can see where the doors lead to. It's a very blurry plan and you can't read the measurements but it's all the estate agents had! The garden runs to the back of the Kitchen/breakfast/lounge. Right now there is one door in the kitchen room that leads to the garden but one idea is to put french doors to the garden in the breakfast room. Seating numbers are flexible. Would need at least 2 seats but if we can get more, all the better! Appreciate the input!...See More- 9 years agolast modified: 9 years ago
