Comments (3)Does your storage cupboard need to be in that position? Just thinking that if you could shunt your cloakroom along into it then you could access your laundry from the back wall of the loo. Hope you see what I mean. Then, if you lengthen the laundry into the kitchen space a bit you would be able to have a run of cupboards/units/equipment on the left too. Then you shorten that narrow utility wall on the kitchen side by having a run of cupboards/larder or what you will on that side too. Might give you a more practical use of space in the kitchen....See MoreKitchen Design Ideas
Comments (5)Your project plan is very similar to the project we did in Esher few years ago, please have a look at Esher project. I would suggest incorporating sliding doors to utility room, it’s more functional and cleaner look and creates more space for utility room. The island will be great feature in your kitchen. The size of the island in Esher project is 1.600mm x 2.400mm, sittings for 4 people, consist of 3 units 800mmm x 600mm. In Ailsa Road Twickenham project the size of the island is 1.400 mm x 2.400 mmm for 6 people. I would recommend the lighting above the island (as in Alisa Road project), bright and dimmable LED lights, as your space will require lots of clever lighting, At this stage I would suggest getting free 3D AutoCAD design of your desired kitchen which can be adjusted with your requirements , it will help you both on visualisation of your future family space. Please contact me if you need further advice. Esher project Ailsa Road...See MorePlanning for kitchen extension help please ? Area use help / design

Comments (9)Is the roof glass like shown on the images? If so, before you do your kitchen here, I would try and talk to someone who has done this. I have a client I am currently working with for their layout. They came to use because the previous owners did exactly what you are suggesting and it was unbearable to be in there in the hotter months/days. The owners did the work then sold it because they didn't like it in the end, and the new owners are now paying me to rip it out and put it back in the existing covered part of the house with the dining room in the glass area, with storage and play area. It's definitely worth looking at before you go ahead with something so major and costly. I think as @Jonathan suggested, I would try and open the space up further, even if it means waiting a little longer for it :) ...best to get it right the first time. Best, Gina...See MoreSlow Coach Ltd.
