What color are the cabinets? The uppers appear to be a bisque color on my screen.

I know, the lighting on the camera is terrible. And I thought they said the camera on the I Phone 7 was good. I had to put the undercabinet lighting on just to see the color.

I don't know what honed is but the counters are Cambria Berwyn - shades of grey, taupe and cream with silver sparkles. No pink tinge at all. The cabinets are just off white.

is the glass subway tile hard to keep clean?

Can you post a couple wider shots of the kitchen? Your closeup pics of the tile are good.

Out of the choices, I would go with either of the subway tiles. None of the smaller tiles, they are too busy and trendy.

Try using your phone's HDR settings.

The glass so VERY easy to keep clean, although I have stone behind my cooktop, so the glass doesn't really get dirty. If you want to do something different behind your stove, why don't you do the same tile, but make a herringbone or diagonal pattern with trim around it, like in your sample board? I think the small mosaics will detract from the overall beauty of the kitchen, plus they seem dated. Also, honed stone is a matte finish, not polished.

ceramic or glass, both are the same to clean. I like the ceramic one better for your kitchen. The glass seems a little too contemporary for your style kitchen.

I would do the entire backsplash in a herringbone pattern. no other tile/design behind the stove because it's such a small, closed in space.

like this,,,if you have longer tiles (these are 3x6) that's fine. will look better.

if you have to do a design, I suppose you could do this, but if you notice the kitchens w/designs over the stove don't usually have the microwave. makes it too small.

3x9 is perfect for the herringbone,,,and the perfect size for your space. Which gray crackle are you using??

the last pic are linear bar mosaics,,looks like glass/marble

if you wanted something like this, you should pick all one color, like the white one above. however, for most lasting, classic design, you can't go wrong w/the subway tile, even in the herringbone. That pattern has been around for centuries.

The Surf Gray is perfect...but...with all the "stuff" on your counters I would not lay it in herringbone...because 1) that pattern requires more tile than a straight lay 2) the charge for labor is higher 3) no-one will see it behind all your "stuff". I'm just being truthful, no insult intended.

If I lay it regular subway , do you think I should keep it the same tile ove the stove or can I lay it on the diagonal there with the 3X6 subway.

Regular subway lay, no detail over the stove.
