Unbalanced, awkward window placement in rental flat
Comments (7)Would the bed fit the other way, at right angles to the window? You could then put the chest under the window to the right, and lean a full- length mirror against the wall to the left. This would balance out the uneven wall space, and also avoids hanging things on the wall ( I note your landlord won't allow this.) However, I think it's a bit unreasonable of him not to let you hang curtains for privacy, so if he relents I would have white or cream drapes. You could add warm colours like coral, warm yellow or dusky pink, with throws and cushions, which would be calmer and more restful than primary colours, and would go well with the existing flooring and your black and white rug....See MoreHow do I finish this corner? Comments (21)Hi Jenny. Why not keep it simple to go with the table so something like this but maybe a simple scandi fern print or something rather than just the frame.cox and cox have a number of vases that would suit plus faux stems or try oka, Neptune or Abigail ahern for the stems but would keep them simple. I'd try and marry the other objects in some way ie colour, style, material, shape etc. I also have a chair on my landing and I have to say it does get used! Hopefully you have another spare corner....See MoreCup handles, pulls and knobs - shall i stick to one or mix&match on ki
Comments (6)Hi. They seem to have a different finish? I would just go for cup handles with Victorian knobs personally. These are polished chrome to match the cup handles https://www.amazon.co.uk/Victorian-Cabinet-Cupboard-Polished-Chrome/dp/B0088V8HVC/ref=sr_1_1?s=diy&ie=UTF8&qid=1487665032&sr=1-1&keywords=victorian+cabinet+cupboard+door+knob+polished+chrome...See Morehelp with kitchen knob/handle placement
Comments (23)Thanks guys, these are my latest attempts! Tani the 2 tall non-oven units are a tandem larder and a FF. so yes rinq they will need to open right to left so have changed it. The 2 lower cupboards in the tall oven units also need to open right to left as we will be keeping big kitchen stuff like the magimix in here and I don’t fancy carting it out of the cupboard and then having to manoeuvre my way around a door to get it onto the work surface in the corner! Now stuck what to do with the door for the corner base unit, just realised the door will have to open left to right so the handle/knob for that door will be right next to the handle/knob of the cupboard under the oven. I did quite like putting all knobs on the front side of the island rinq but I thought it looked a bit *too* knobby so I think vertical handles for the doors? Could also put these handles horizontally and centrally...See MoreUser
