I would 100% start with the floor. All colours interact with each other and can appear different in different lights. I would choose the flooring you are going to have and then proceed from there. For example the tone (how light or dark the floor is) of the floor partly determines the tone of the walls. The colour of the floor is really important - the oak in the image could look quite violety. A large sample of flooring as a starting point would be a good idea. Little Greene have a fantastic range of 'greys' and some stunning blues, you could colour match them with Valspar paint. The grey will be harder to choose than the blue so you could start with that, but getting it right with the flooring would be my starting point.

Hi Tani. Mmmm. Mixing colours by hand can be tricky in large quantities which is why I suggested taking a small sample of your existing paint first and and seeing how other colours change it. For sampling you can use any acrylic paint (acrylic has similar properties to emulsion) as you’re just trying to identify which colour you need for mixing, could be other tester pots, kids acrylic paints, artists acrylics etc. but when doing the final mix I would use the same brand and finish paint. In theory (and from memory) to make a dark navy blue lighter and warmer you’d need more of a dirty peach colour then add this to the navy at approx 1 part peach to 10 navy then add more if needed. All a matter of trying and testing. Having said all this it may be possible to sell the paint you have now (after all navy is popular atm) and get another colour.

So you have a 500mm drawer pack at each end and then 3 x 600mm base units. A 600 tends to be fairly standard under the sink and then l presume one of the other 600 sizes is a dishwasher? 500 for a drawer pack is useless in my opinion. It’s not big enough to store pans, only clutter. 800 is a great size. There is a choice of heights for wall cupboards with the tallest being 900 which you don’t want as they’re too tall for your situation. The standard ones are 720 which is what they have added, but you can also have shorter ones at around 340 so you could consider swapping the middle 3 units for that size which would also give you more headspace over the sink.
