Bathroom ceiling light

Would you hang this (2nd pic) in a very small bathroom? I'm interested in hanging the 1st pic above the mirror. However I feel like the ceiling lamp has a more of a living room vibe. What do you think?

Definitely not. The wall light too I would say belongs in a lounge, not really for a bathroom.

The problem is that I'm going for a bit of an antique feel and I think that a silver wall lamp would look more modern than I would like

Hello Amanda, : )) Do you mean in the kitchen? Yes a nice idea. I like flat plate too, but really plain. Well the best way to describe how I feel about certain alterations is to tell you about someone I knew who "did up" her flat to such a degree that she literally took away all that was characterful about it.. Sometimes it's best to leave things as their patina develops over time and results in something quite special. Restoration is one thing but you can also restore the life out of something and thus diminish in certain contexts the value- and so it's good to know when to stop.. So yes, I'm firmly in the camp suggesting leave them, but of course it's entirely your choice. : ))

Suspect the space above sink has at least 30cm in width? I'd get a mirror cabinet. I know it's not great as its not centred but for me, I like the idea of having my daily essentials stored above the sink inside a mirror cabinet. Otherwise, try three white shelves. They will look great with the blue wall. An alternative is wall art. Make sure you don't get canvas as the bathroom is meant to get steamy during its lifetime. You can even get three small irregular shaped mirrors to offset the 'frames'/vertical alignment with the sink. Trip to IKEA (mirrors) or the Bathstore (look up the myplan wall cabinets) I'd say. Well done on the good job!

If it's fit for a bathroom (can withstand damp conditions) and you really like it, I can't see why not. Also depends on the size of the bathroom and the height of the ceiling. Your 'very small' might not be my 'very small'.

I mean, I'd hang a chandelier in a bathroom, and that's not typically a bathroom style light fixture either.
