Does our kitchen look dated?

last modified: 8 years ago

Hi stylish people, I'm just after some impartial advice. Our kitchen was remodeled just under 6 years ago, we were going for a pretty traditional look with a swing towards country. I knew I wanted cream and tongue and groove detail, so that's what we've got.

Overall very pleased with it, but one thing started bugging me recently after browsing current kitchens- the arch detail on the cabinet doors. I'll be honest, it wasn't something that concerned me 6 years ago, but now I see that arches are totally out and a lot of people associate them with the 80's kitchens...

I guess what I'm asking is do these arches date our kitchen badly and make it look like something from the 80s/90's? In hindsight we should've gone for shaker and that's what we'll have next time, but not sure I can sell the idea of changing the doors to my other half just yet purely for this reason..

Any comments-good or bad- appreciated, many thanks in advance!
