We have consistently remodelled over the last 15 years or so. We've gone from the 3 bed old cottage with a separate lounge, dining room and kitchen to an open plan 3 floor home with 4 beds, 2 baths, a utility, double garage etc. We were lucky, in that we purchased a lovely old cottage in quite a large plot, so the potential for extra building was quite large. Our last son left home recently and we have just started a refurbishment project covering most of the rooms to give it a fresh new look because we've been here a long time and don't want to move.
