Art that we've collected all through our 35 yrs together. Reminds us of the where and when as well as having the enjoyment of the art. Most of them are prints, some canvas. Family photos are usually on narrow ledges (we call them ancestor shelves) in a main hallway, so they can be switched out; also because they are inexpensively framed, and more for private consumption than the artwork. Most of the surfaces in our house are uncluttered, some would say austere, so the wall art warms things up.

Laura Ashley sells a round mirror a bit like the one in your photo which would look good. I think it may look better if you moved the clock to a different wall, otherwise it might look like you are trying to match the clock on the second chimney breast. Have other art work on the walls would help detract from wonky levels too. The room looks lovely btw!

Hello Karen, The copper tap is by Vola... In order to get it for that price it may be that you need to enlist the help of a lovely designer who might be able to offer you trade on it especially if you're doing the whole bathroom but I feel that this price is still under cost price to them. If you included something else or more of the same tap range for bath and or shower rose fittings you can then start to bring the pricing down individually.. It could also be that multiple purchases across their umbrella range bring the pricing down further.. A white (Off white) Concrete basin like the one I sent you on the other thread would be about £760 ex vat. I am saying this as I have a contact that deals with Vola and Kast... Should you be interested in a sink too... : ))

I think a dark browny bronze is a really good colour to go with cashmere. and could also work with gold, chrome is a bit too blue. If you keep the gold handles ( I think they look really nice) then I wouldn't duplicate it too much. I would add wooden bar stools. My sister's kitchen is the same colour, she has used lots of bronze, dark browny violets and wood.
