Help with Bow window dressing please

Just got the keys to our new house today and there are no coverings to the main living room window. It faces a street so need something up asap.
The window has a radiator underneath so I don't really want to put a single curtain rail in front of it as it will block the heat. I hate short curtains so i guess it's down to blinds?

I like roller blinds and Venetian - the latter would be good for privacy as well as I don't want net curtains up either.

It's a bow window so each section is angled so I can't put a single wide blind in the middle. I can only presume I have to have 5 x individual blinds up

This is our temporary lounge but will eventually bexaome a cosy moody formal dining space (think Abigail Ahern-esque) or snug (once we extend out the back) so I prefer clean lines rather than fussy fittings.

What do you guys suggest? Should I get an expert in to make them bespoke (bearing in mind the timescale)

Congrats on the new home Tani, looks like it has loads of potential! We are still not moved in and I suspect won't be before Christmas :(. Have you heard of these as a temporary solution?

Ah thank you. Well we haven't actually exchanged on our own sale yet (3 months!) and we gave up waiting so completed early on our purchase so we can get in and make it a bit more homely before we move in, ha ha.
Fingers crossed for yours - it's awful at this time. No one wants to move just before Xmas

Not thought about those temporary ones. We aren't living there for a few weeks luckily so thought if I get the sorted asap, I wouldn't need anything up. Worst case I will just get some cheap curtains and a pole if I have to, ha ha

Yeah Ooh, that is gorgeous fabric! Are you thinking of using that for the curtains? If yes you'll want to use that where the curtains are drawn to show it to its full glory. Wow, that's beautiful! And Carolins is right about the fretwork against an aubergine accent wall, in the right cream that would be stunning.

Hiya, Firstly, to answer your question, uPVC window frames definitely don't rule out shutters. Lots of our customers mix the two and they really do create a stunning effect. If you're worried about light though and do decide on shutters, be sure to choose wider louvres to avoid making your space dark. Alternatively, you talk about wanting to bring in a cosy feel. Roman blinds are really good at this, or even any type of layered blinds with curtains. It can seem tricky to balance cosiness with privacy and light control without making things too dark, so why not try Wooden blinds layered with curtains? Yeah Louise I've had a look and they are expensive. I've made my decision now and am going for wide wooden venetians on their own. I've wanted them for quite a while just wasn't sure if they would be ok on their own. After looking at lots of pics I think they will look great. going to a Hillarys store later and they offer a measuring service or I can measure them myself and go via the web-blinds site so much cheaper to do that. Going the whole hog and getting them for the whole house. Really appreciate everyone's time thanks to all of you.

Hi, It is a tricky one :( Do you want curtains? If so, a small track rail (like what is there at the moment) it probably best as it is slim and allow curtains to be out of the way of the door hinges when open. Otherwise, for a more minimalist look, you could get « clip on » blinds.
