Many Tile ranges now come with special step edge pieces. A lot of times these are not advertised by the retailers but they are available. Many of our ranges have this option available. It's a good way to re-use tiles, I'd prefer idea of zero-waste idea. I've done same with old porcelain tiles from fireplace that don't work anymore and had to be removed. Yes, it can be hard to get them up and dry up adhesise, but it worth it. Can check DIY guide right here how to do it correct, and don't broke them.

In my work setting we had to replace suspected R10s with R12s on the car park stairs due to the amount of people slipping when it had been raining. But there were potentially other factors at play... narrow stairs, possible greases/oils from the cars, high footfall which may have worn away some of the surface roughness... if your intended surface is flat, low traffic, etc it may be ok. Ultimately I'd ho back to the supplier or manufacturer to ask.

On my screen your tiles look more brown than grey, so I’m not sure what to suggest. White would be a good choice, is that your current colour? With what type of paint to use, mine is Dulux Bathroom paint which is washable, but I’ve found it chips easily and I wish I’d never used it! I will soon be repainting it with Dulux Trade Diamond Matt which seems to have pretty good reviews and hopefully will be tougher. In the past I have used simple Dulux Matt Emulsion which isn’t washable, but gave a really nice finish.
