Glass splash-back help
Comments (16)Hi Darren, Here are a some images showing some similar finishes you have specified. This is a FB colour on a plain glass - Manor House Grey This is antique bronze mirror below. The below also has the Antique bronze mirror as a large single panel on the wall and also fitted in the Island Niche. The below is FB Blackened - Nice and reflective, and matches the wall colour almost perfectly - looks great with the light and dark tones of the cabinets. This is a plain Bronze mirror - looking completely different to the Antique version. Finally I have one in a Dark Blue - I don't have a better image unfortunately. We did notice it did darken the niche area when it was installed a lot....this may be a contributing factor in your decision... Best of Luck, once you have decided, I'd love to see what you go with....See MoreSplash back help!
Comments (13)Hi, There are several options in my mind for your project. Glass Tile Mosaic You can find budget one, as well as it works good with plugs. Unusual Materials: Plywood or laminate It works good in a kitchen. You can choose light colours (white, grey) Chalkboard Paint Budget Friendly: Tin Sheets The tin backsplash in this white kitchen is a budget-friendly fix that also adds visual interest. Plastic wall panels This is a good idea if you don't want to spend a lot of money. Ikea has double-sided panels, they need to be installed in special frames. Pros of plastic that it's easy to cut Wallpaper There are a lot of waterproof wallpapers collection. They are washable as well. Metal/Stainless steel Easy to wash Mirror You can cut mirror into tiles and glue it. Hope this information will inspire you! Anna...See MoreSplash back or no splash back??
Comments (9)Well I love the look you have right now. So personally would chose a natural stone or tile very similar to current wall colour. As your wood units are such a gorgeous rich tone I thibk adding anything mid to dark would detract from these. On another note can I ask about your crittall style internal doors please? Are these actually metal? Can I enquire about supplier you used/cost as it is the exact look I am planning for our house. Thanks....See MoreNeed help deciding on kitchen splash back
Comments (3)Mirror splashbacks can make a small space look really cool between wall units and base units. Apart from the standard mirror silver you can get antiqued (is your kitchen style dictates this) or coloured glass such as copper/bronze. If you are not that keen at looking at yourself then a smoked grey is a great option for modern contemporary kitchens. Mirror splashbacks can be cut around sockets for that perfect look. Ensure behind your hob that you have toughend glass otherwise it could shatter with the heat from the hob. A simple upstand in the same material as your worktop say 75mm high is simple then use a washable paint for above for a simple look. Hope that helps...See MoreDaisy England
