cHOROS Landscape Architects is a dynamic landscape practice based in the heart of Hertfordshire.
We can to provide a multi-disciplinary team and can tailor our service to suit our client’s specific requirements. We work with colleagues who we have known and worked with for many years and have been able to enjoy a varied workload and use our skills collaboratively on a wide range of projects.
cHOROS Landscape Architects has been operating since 1981. Our early work was primarily residential (sheltered accommodation, properties for sale and rent) for small private developers and Housing Associations.
In the in the mid 90s we started to assist the major house builders to design various soft planting schemes and gained expertise as an Expert Witness in connection with several Public Enquiries, and assisted a number of local authorities with their planning applications and tree work.
cHOROS Landscape Architects past work is now spread throughout the UK and Middle East. This includes the preparation of landscape feasibility studies and visual assessments, the planning and design of multidisciplinary projects together with large and small scale residential schemes, ‘instant gardens’ and the detail design, construction and implementation of the work on site.
We have developed an expertise in the design of hard surface areas, using natural stone within sensitive locations, and the restoration of historic estates. Our specialty is in urban design, and integrating sustainability into landscape projects. Over recent years we have also developed skills in healthcare understanding and the design of internal/external areas.
We like to fully involve the client in the design process and aim to make each project an enjoyable and rewarding experience.
It is always exciting when we are presented with a challenge and the Client has the confidence in our ability to succeed. We are at our best when allowed to fully use our imagination and design skills.
Much of our work comes via recommendation and repeat business, and we have a reputation for being able to ‘think outside the box’. Other team members have commented that ‘our remit often goes way beyond a normal landscape brief.’
