I'm sure it will look fine. My feeling though is that the light may be a little 'direct', with there being no shade or similar to soften it.

Perhaps this is more suitable for a hallway.

Then again, this will not be your only light source in the room I presume?

From the clean, fresh style that you have gone for in the bedroom, I would consider using the Havas pendant as this will offer a bit of Scandi style to the room. when on you will also get shadows from the structure on the walls and ceiling creating an interesting and warm environment.

Lovely light but I do agree with E D about it being more suitable for a hall although it goes well with the furniture. Can I just check that the ceilings are 7ft? What is your budget if you don’t mind me asking? Will the light also be hung over anything (as you can then afford to go a bit lower). If not, how tall are you? Sorry, re the personal questions!

I love something like the Vita 'Eos'. Not to everyones taste but the softness of it I like for a bedroom. It depends if you need a brighter main light or not. 9/10 I only use my bedside or dressing table lights. I bought my last bedroom light purely for the aesthetic. It was copy of the Mooi random light.

The Eos is very feminine. The Random is a tiny bit more masculine! Have you had a look at Matalan lighting? Reasonably priced and some lovely pieces. I just bought the Sidney pendants for my new kitchen. Most stores now have lighting on display so you can see them in person.

It certainly isn't too big - one of the desired outcomes of interior design is a feeling of what I can only describe as generosity, and large scale items often provide this. I think it will work well

Are you thinking about adding some colour?

I love the low colour! It's very relaxing. But if you do want to add colour, don't make it too much of a contrast, otherwise all you'll see will be the accent, rather than the whole room

Perhaps leave the walls as they are. They're fine, but add some colour and interest with soft accessories and/or decorative items.

One idea keeping it neutral? Sorry I can’t use photoshop but bring in more beige and a little blue. The art is meant to be 2x2 hung portrait over the bedside tables and it’s a whitewashed Thai/Balinese wall carving over the bed, as think a couple of oriental accessories always works for a classic look. The fringed throw (or a scarf/pashmina is sometimes a better size plus cheaper!) is also meant to be draped over the arm of the chair :) I’d also add flowers or a plant on a bedside table

You could add either a rug or layer another soft throw on top to make it less neutral

A little bit of colour, struggling to find a chair cushion though and obviously the faux fur throw isn’t expertly draped! The solid mustard does obviously draw your eye as Read Interiors said. Maybe find some art you love and let that drive the colour scheme. Neutral is good with texture and pattern though.
