Thank you for sharing this, I am in the process of choosing between 4 of the quartz samples you listed above: MSI-Calcatta Laza, Calcatta Luccia and Calcatta Classique, and Silestone Eternal Gold. Also considering Zodiac Calcatta Natura. What are you planning on using for your back splash. I would like to do the back splash the same as whatever I choose for the counters. My cabinets are being refinished in BM white dove. I am leaning toward Calcatta Laza because it seams to have a bit of beige color as well as the grey. I am not replacing my flooring which is a ceramic tile with shades of beige and gray and rust color. I think the all grey veining will be too much grey and not go with my floor. This is so difficult. I plan on going to look at some slabs next week and will bring a sample cabinet with me, Let me know what you decide to go with.

Good luck in choosing a counter! I haven't chosen yet, but I'm leaning toward Quartzmaster Organic White, Dupont Zodiac London Sky, and Silestone Snowy Ibiza. I want to go with something with a more subtle look, but if I wanted a statement slab, I would definitely go with the Silestone Eternal Gold. It's beautiful! However, the prices for MSI can't be beat. I'm currently in the "getting quotes for slabs" part of the process, which will also help in the decision making process for me. I haven't really thought about backsplash much yet. I'm thinking a porcelain tile in something in the creamy white/light gray family.

I am working with a customer who is looking at almost all the same tops. We then went on line and looked at the slabs and gallery pictures. She went from 8 choices to 2. Once you can see the whole slab and what it looks like on counters you will quickly narrow down your choices - then go look at actual slabs.

I always turn the light on in the bathroom regardless of the light coming through the window.
I would select the tile which looks best next to the cabinet with the lights turned on. If you are only looking at tile at the stone yard or tile store, take your samples home to look at them in their future location with the cabinet color sample, too. Store light and natural light are not the same as the electric lights in your bathroom.
