vanity unit inquiry

Hello
I have a tricky (lack of!) space for a vanity unit and made-to-measure is probably least hassle.

The unit should be:
*contemporary style, laminated white
* wall mounted
* basin is above counter (concealed piping)
* taps will be wall mounted
* ideally 2 rows of drawers for storage
* counter top...guidance appreciated! Surface needs to cope with beauty lotions/ potions/oils/make up!

This is for an ensuite bathroom not with huge traffic. I’m still confirming dimensions so estimate is approx 570-600mm.

Perhaps we can speak to discuss budget?

Good morning Fiona thank you for making a enquiry regards your sink vanity unit .
I will be happy to sort out a estimated cost for a unit based on your specifications . I would recommend we price for a finish painted cabinetry this can be in any colour . The drawers need to work do as to avoid any plumbing which would need to be made others . With regards the work top I would avoid marble as it is prone to staining . However some granites and natural stones would be suitable or alternatively you could look at quartz or possibly solid surface which comes in a variety of colours .ie-corian
I see you found the bathroom cabinet that I designed for a client which was in walnut would you like me to price you up this design to your sizes ?

Hi Fattyma, I don't think it would be complicated.Which direction would the herringbone go?the size of the herringbone tile?I would go with a smaller herringbone tile for a smaller bathroom.If you haven't made a final choice yet,look at other tile patterns such as chevron similar to herringbone.There are also nice hexagon tiles would compliment the vanity and space. I can’t see any images but it might be my internet connection as I’m in the middle of the North Sea on route to Norway. At home my vanity unit was bespoke made with a drawer pack each side and 2 full height doors under the basin in the middle. Worktop was sourced by us and then loo was purchased separately. Ask a local carpenter to do it. Easy job.

Hi, It's hard to tell without seeing photos of the tile & vanity unit colours. If you're going for a tonal bathroom look, a vanity unit in a colour close to the wall tiles will stand out the least and create a soothing look. I think you are right in thinking a dark grey unit will be too strong given the presence of anthracite on the window & towel radiator. Would you consider a wood effect vanity unit? They pair beautifully with grey and give the look warmth.

It depends on cost, how long you are going to be in your house, cleaning, and preferences. White is always the least contentious and easy to sell on in future. I do like the wood effect though, I cannot see many people disapproving of that. Its a really good contrast to your floor tiles. If you have hard water and no water softener I would rethink that black tap.
