I rather like your facade. I would think twice about painting the brickwork, as this would be a maintenance headache, but cleaning it would brighten it up. Otherwise stucco and paint the front ( brickwork) only? i would clad your existing canopy in lead, but leep the existing shape. Is the tarmac yours? If you could change this to something lighter and softer, this would have a really big impact. Clad the stairs in slate or indian sandstone, get rid of the block screen and replace with glass, ( marine grade stainless steel fittings and door furniture) black iron railing for the steps.

Just another opinion...I like the suggestion that others posted to remove the bush and if possible, to put entry door in it's place, to remove the post and replace it with a support beam and brackets, replace garage door, add low wall to separate your driveway from the neighbor's, plant a dwarf tree in the front yard along with some edging plants... But with so many possibilities to choose from, perhaps you could accomplish your desire to make your home stand out from the others inexpensively by...painting over the white part of the house, the downspout directly above the canopy and the garage door to match the lightest brick color. Choose the darkest brick color for all of the other trim and windows. Patch and seal the driveway to freshen it (until you know if you will be permitted to do anything more permanent), definitely taking out the bush and doing some low cost planting just to add some color. It takes time to settle on your needs, style, budget, etc. But it's worthwhile to spend a little cash and effort to get a bit of satisfaction that things are looking better!

Always intrigued by how different people have such strong and mixed views on choices like this! No 2 is my personal preference - looks more modern and "integral". I find the other 2 designs look like after-thought bolt-ons and make it look like an older house that's trying to be something it is not. The middle design doesn't feel that way to me. Thanks @cushioncover - ours is one of two houses that are similar but not identical. We have three floors and our neighbours have two. They have recently had their reddy-brown wood cladding replaced with white uPVC. We would like something that looks a bit more natural e.g. plank effect fibre cement. The other houses on the estate are different and are mainly brown tones. I like the grey look as posted by @Victoria and have crudely photoshopped what this could look like if we were to clad the top half and paint the bricks at the bottom. Also sketched in a new drive! You'll notice I've broken my own rule and made the windows dark grey! This is because we've discovered you can have uPVC windows coated and that it bonds with the plastic, just like it would when making grey uPVC windows in the factory. So we're considering this. We have a garden room which is clad in cedar (similar colour to the photoshopped garage doors below) so it would be nice if they could tie in, but I don't want to clad in real cedar at the top of the house because I think it could end up looking a bit shabby due to the sun/rain? Has anyone seen fibre cement that looks like realistic cedar? I'd be interested in any thoughts in the below design? Thanks again :)
