Hallway sideboard help
We have recently finished the decoration in our hallway and I can decide what sort of sideboard would look right. I have been toying with a grey tone sideboard with brass features (the living room which is right next door is decorated the same but has brass pendants) or something more modern and grey which picks up on the lights, maybe incorporating concrete. Any ideas welcome!

You could team this with a contemporary mirror, ones I think could work from Graham and Green are feather, lamour, twig, honeycomb, the Braque, cubist and the fringe (note I don't know the measurement of your table though). Comments (7)Removing the console, changing the flooring and creating more interest on the walls, as mentioned above, would help. Comments (7)Lovey entrance by the way. Where you have a sofa, i would change the style of seating. If you want a unique cool look search on ebay for some original cinema/theatre seats usually in Red velvet or Royal Blue and the ones that are joined and the seats pads move up when your not seated, depending on the age they can be wood, there is an amazing pair onebay at the moment parisian ones aged 1930's-40's. If you dont like the original look you can always restore them a little. On the other side i would then add a console table with a lamp, and hide the coats in a storage cupboard, ( is that a storage cuobourd on the left?). A lamp will lighten the hallway a little. Comments (2)Hi, photos of the hall will help, but here are some ideas. Do you really have to keep the laundry bin in the hall? Can't it be in the bathroom or bedroom? 5 years agoHi Angela, the pendants are from Next, and the low wall lights are just from eBay. I’ve put a screenshot from the next website below.
I think dark would work well and I’ve also never thought about upcycling an old sideboard, I might give it a go!!

5 years agoThe first think I thought was white. And about 80 cm high. Loads of sideboards are lower than that and I think it'll look like a mini piece of furniture in your hallway.
Black could be good too, if you'd like something dramatic.

5 years agoWhat type of storage do you need? Just wondering if a sideboard is the best option? You may not like this one (I've got it myself) but the drawers are over a foot wide so it holds stacks of stuff (I think it's about 40 deep too so won't encroach on hall). Could you have this (or similar) opposite the radiator and then a bench and mirror (I chose any picture) further down the hall? Just thinking it won't obscure the view to the garden then either. Beautiful hall btw

5 years agoHi Ashleigh, I also had picked out the same storage option as GWW but in the mango wood finish! It could look lovely with a couple of table lamps either end and a round mirror above it.
