Hello, I need help. I am looking for a very light cream or off white for walls. I want it to be slightly warm, just to avoid the starkness of plain white (I live in England and white looks grey here most of the time). I dislike green, purple and blue undertones (right now, I have dulux "Linnet white" in the lounge which is slightly greenish, and it is driving me crazy, looks dirty and dull), I also have "white mist" in another room and it is really stark and greyish. On the other hand, I also want to avoid "jazmin white" and "magnolia" and all those yellows and pinks that belong to the past. So I'd like something almost white, almost neutral but slightly warm ideally. For example, once, living in southamerica, I created my own creamy white mixing 4 litres of white paint with 1 small sachet of ochre toner (like a spoonful). If only I could do that again or get something like that. It was lovely, like an early autumn afternoon sunlight, golden, soft, glowing. I've heard of dulux "timeless" but some say it's like a dirty white? Or too yellow? I have oak furniture and some gold and amber fabrics. Thank you!

I would suggest porcelein wood effect tiles too. They are tough and easy to clean and some are incredibly realistic. They come in every colour from white to deepest mahogany. I always think wooden look floors look so good wth grey or blue units. My stepdaughter has them with UFH and she is very pleased With them. Walls - i actually like white, but you could go pale grey and paint one or two end walls in a bolder colour? Wall tiles are a very personal thing, but how about small geometrics in white? Hi yes, I think they are foiled, certainly more of a matt finish. We have the flush casement ones. I also have off white ( grey white ) aluminium bifolds which I love and which blend seamlessly with shaded white walls. But there is more flexibility with white windows when it comes to choosing wall colours. With the off white, you find yourself looking for a colour that works well with the frames. This obviously can work out really well but is still more limiting. So if you are just looking to reduce the starkness, I think the matt effect will do that enough. Obviously still a personal opinion

I have Hudson Reed and am not at all impressed. I don't think twice in 10 years is great reliability. I have a HR bathfiller and it is so stiff to switch from hot to cold that I would avoid now. We bought our house like this I wouldn't have chosen any of the taps. I always use Grohe if you can get it. I might try Lusso Stone next time as they have some lovely brass examples. Spend as much as you can on taps as you use them all the time. I have been very happy with Grohe. I like Mandarin Stone for tiles they have a fantastic selection. I am going to use Lusso Stone for all the fittings and maybe Drench for a bath as they are a bit more affordable.
