Hello,
We are planning our new kitchen in our 1920s semi and the cooker will be in the middle of the attached wall so will need to extract out to the back of the house.
Most people have said you can hide the ducting on top of wall the cupboards to the side of the extractor hood, but I’m keen to not have wall cupboards. My question is, can you hide extractor ducting in the ceiling above the kitchen? And if so, does this depend on the direction of the ceiling joists?
If it helps, we will also be having a steel directly above the cooker (recessed into the ceiling above) as we are having the chimney breast removed at ground level.
Thank you
J
