Comments (2)We hate spotlights too, and under cabinet, under /over plinth lights.....We have 2 pendant lights over the island, 2 wall lights along the kitchen run, a pendant above dining table. This is plenty of light for us....See MoreSuggestions for kitchen lighting
Comments (7)Thanks for commenting! The kitchen design fell in place driven on the back of the fact that we really wanted to create a small area for our children at the back of the room. It was important to me that this was an uninterrupted space which we wouldn’t constantly be walking in and out of. We also didn’t want to do any building work so it made sense for the children’s area to be where it’s now marked. You can also see that that wall is full of windows, the larger one being low and mid leg height so it wasn’t the easiest place for a kitchen counter. Plus I understand gas hobs cannot be next to a window. With all that in mind the majority of the kitchen has to be on that wall. Our current kitchen goes ever so slightly over the french doors and it’s really no problem (even it becomes hazardous as the children get older we can move them if necessary). We opted for the sink to be where it is so we can comfortably get a large toddler tower for children’s messy play and hand washing in front of it without struggling to get past (I have twins). Hope this all makes sense. Kitchen is 6.1 x 3.2m The dining table isn’t to scale and I’m just showing where it will go....See MoreLooking for ideas and suggestion to make kitchen lighte
Comments (3)Yes that weird wall hanging . That can be removed and we are hoping it will create a more natural flow as currently makes that area much darker. Along itself obviously won’t bring in more natural light but optically might make the place brighter as won’t be there an object . We were thinking to remove the wall along the stairs as it’s not a load baring wall but because it’s a 3 story house you can’t from a. Fire build reg point of view ....See MoreKitchen Lighting
Comments (1)Hi, At Litecraft we have so many different lighting options. We do have a store in Manchester City Center that you could take a trip to and have a browse around. In respect of downlights, these can be placed under your kitchen cupboards providing illumination to your kitchen sides. I wouldn't want to many in the kitchen if you are going to use pendant lights too. We do have a fantastic range of both downlights and pendant lights. If our showroom is too far for you to get to you can always have a browse online to https://www.litecraft.co.uk/. I hope this helps, Thanks...See More- 7 years ago
