Hi Glen, The size and shape of your space is not dissimilar to many we refurbish, and you do have pleant of options. As "bubbles" suggests, Mereway, Trend (and many others) offer ranges of standalone and built in furniture which would be ideal for your needs. Do you have a budget in mind? If so, to have some insight into that would help to advise on how to get most bang for your buck. To give an idea of what I would recommend: - Remove existing suite and radiator. -Remove existing tiling, re-plasterboard and skim -Install a "Square P" (sometimes called L shape) bath of 850 x 1700, wide end at door end of room with new screen and shower. At "window end", box in from end of bath to wall, possibly with an open shelf unit above -replace flooring with either a good quality vinyl, palio-click or tile flooring -at window end of bathroom, install 600 wide vanity unit with rectangular basin on top on the left (next to boxed in section) with a "concealed cistern" and back to wall WC to the right of that, filled to the boxed in section on the right - see image below (sorry it is small and grainy) -fit a mirrored wall storage unit on the right hand wall above a modern, chrome towel rail/warmer Wrt tiling - I would be tempted to only tile in the bath "corner" with a small splashback of tiles behind the run of furniture along the window wall Colours and finish are always very personal, but I would be tempted by walnut and white with quite square fixtures & fittings (taps, showerhead, radiator etc.) to complement the clean lines of the furniture and bathroom. I really like the lozenge tiles! Personally i prefer the 1st design (basin included). The 2nd is too busy with the tiles around the loo. I do however prefer the bath taps on the 2nd design, with perhaps a handheld on the shower wall (all jn brass)? I might think about taking the floor tiles up the bath. I love a flos pendant but it doesn’t sit right, I also prefer the brass mirror in the 2nd. Maybe also ask the designer to mock up the boxing in of the loo the whole way across that wall. If the bath could shrink a little you could have a shampoo etc niche under the window above the bath. It is away from the shower but tbh when the niche is close to the shower anything just runs off your hand before it hits your body?! maybe consider epoxy grout? Darker cement grouts aren’t as grubby but may fade or discolour

Hi there! Totally get where you're coming from—zoning the shower with different tiles sounds like a great idea, but the window placement does make things a bit tricky. In this case, tiling the entire space with one tile might actually work in your favour. Here’s why: One Tile for the Walls: Using a single tile across all the walls, including the shower area, can create a seamless, cohesive look, which can help make the space feel larger and less visually chopped up (especially with that window cutting into the shower zone). Texture or Pattern: If you're worried about it looking too plain, you could choose a tile with a subtle texture, pattern, or even a slight variation in tone to add interest while keeping it uniform. Matte or satin finishes can also help prevent it from looking too flat. Contrast with Floor Tile: Then, you can use a contrasting tile on the floor to add some depth and definition. A patterned floor tile or one in a bold colour can bring personality without overpowering the space. Since it gets damp, fully tiling the walls is definitely a smart move, and it’ll help with maintenance too. If you still want a bit of zoning, consider adding a feature within the shower—maybe a vertical strip of accent tile or a niche with a pop of colour or texture. Hope that helps! Not sure if Houzz likes Insta though... I also agree with Betty though in that you don't have to tile the whole room. But I do think the horizontal split makes the room feel wider and it's also a more modern look than doing the shower in the accent tile - makes the shower feel like part of the room rather than something totally different. Am not sure why there is that panel of wood lattice but it looks a bit random - maybe add a wooden vanity for the basin to sit in/on to balance that out? And I wouldn't choose white taps/etc as the room needs some more contrast to add a bit of something to it - I'd choose chrome or stainless steel instead, more classic, less trendy, gives a bit of contrast without it being too much (black would be too much). Or brass, but only if you are prepared to pay more for really nice brass.
