If we make a mezzanine bedroom from the loft opening onto a bedroom below, would we not have fire regulation problems like we would if the loft was an enclosed bedroom?
I don't think you encounter the same problems because you're exiting from the bedroom as you always did and not amending that in any way. That's usually the biggest issue. However, it's always best to check with the local building control office at your local council.
