Comments (10)We love the cushions! We believe they work well together and big a bit of contrast into the room. For the carpet, we’d recommend you opt for something a neutral or light coloured to help create an open, airy feel. Or alternatively, have you considered a grey carpet? Easy on the eye and a great base shade makes it a perfect choice for a living room – looking extremely sophisticated. Our Sensation Supreme range pictured has a neutral shade to suit everyone! You can have a browse here. http://www.cormarcarpets.co.uk/product_sensation-supreme/product_sensation-supreme.php Also sampling is the perfect way to see if a particular colour matches your décor. Comments (5)Hi minnie101, I can only reply to the boucle part of your question, we had this carpet fitted in 2017 when we bought our house (sorry, all my google drive photos feature our cats and since we live abroad at the moment, that’s all I have got). It is very easy to hoover, we have a normal Miele. I thought first of getting a runner with the whipped edges (I still like the runners better than fitted stair carpets but with all the quarter space and split landings, kite winders it was getting to be rather expensive...plus the original stair treads and risers are pine, which was wire brushed and then painted over and over)....See MoreLittle Greene - Slaked Lime Deep Hall - Help with carpet colour
Comments (7)Hi there, as it’s for the hallway and landing we’d suggest you consider choosing a hard-wearing neutral carpet to act as your base. Team with natural or textured furnishings to add depth to the décor scheme. Hopefully that will provide you with some inspiration! Comments (4)You are quite right, it is the tone that needs to be similar, for example in the bedroom pic above the carpet is a lot lighter than the wall behind the bed, but much the same as the side walls. It works because they are just a similar colour, but lighter and darker. The herringbone stair carpet is darker, yes a similar tone. It just works. Hope that makes sense! I have Egyptian Cotton in my bedroom and hall, stairs and landing. I chose quite a colourful carpet on the stairs because I love colour, but that herringbone one is lovely!...See More- 7 years agolast modified: 7 years ago
