Hey, looking to create an office/living space in this room. What would be your ideas for furniture styles, placement and storage ideas for DVDs and Games? All furniture and decor can be changed except for the fireplace, so a complete blank canvas :)
What a gorgeous room. Can the shelving unit go on the back wall if there’s room as it looks odd where it is? Other than that I wouldn’t change a thing! Not much help am I?
Instead of the tall shelf, 2 lower cabinets on the 2 side of the fireplace would look better and more proportional, either in creamy or matching wood. Also if you want an office desk 2 big sofa take too much space. So instead one sofa and one armchair would be better. Another idea if you put a longer cabinet under the tv with decorative objects, but still armchair instead of that sofa.

Colours are nice natural, however I would personally put a bit more colour, darker warmer toned decoration, beside the black and mustard e rusty red
Seems a shame to change the lounge aspect as it's really nice ( except for the abnormally high fireplace ). Remove the empty shelving unit, put the cupboard from the bottom of the stairs in to that space by the left of the fireplace. I'd put the T.V on that instead of the wall, but it's ok where it is. Then maybe, you could do an 'office in a cupboard' type affair at the bottom of the stairs so that it doesn't interfere with the rest of the lounge.
It looks like a lovely room so there certainly doesn't need to be any changes! What don't you like and what exactly are your office requirements? Also what styles and colours do you like If you do make any changes? I think I'd be tempted to try the sofa under the windows on the opposite wall which should open the room up a little more. You should then be able to move the other sofa out a few inches more (as it won't be directly by the stair gate). I would then put the tv to the right of the fire on a swing out bracket. You could paint/paper this wall a darker tone so the tv blends in a bit more with low storage either side. You could add a mirror to the left of the fire and art over the sofa
