Hi Vicki, I would go for bigger tiles, ones that are 60 cm x 30 cm. If you use smaller tiles the outcome may look too busy with your chosen floor tiles. I also suggest choosing very light grey wall tiles, the colour of which matches to the grey background colour of the floor tiles. That would give you the industrial sort of vibe you are aiming to achive. Order different samples and see how the combinations look in your bathroom. Hi Jen Tiled wet rooms look great and make a bathroom feel more spacious. You would need a wet room system installing by a professional to ensure there are no issues with leaks (particularly if it's a first floor bathroom!). There will be more maintenance with a tiled floor - particularly if you have hard water/ limescale. The grout will show wear and tear first so larger tiles with fewer grout lines are a good idea. Wet rooms look fantastic but will need more TLC than a shower tray. This is probably a price worth paying to achieve the look you want!

I think you are right on the oak stairs. I plan to have a carpet runner as well. What's your advice on the balustrade and handrail pls? Iron / Wood / Combination? If wood (or part wood), then do you recommend painting some or all of it to pick up on the main stone colour (e.g. leaving the handrail and maybe tread in oak, but risers in white/cream)?
