help with kitchen design
My problem is when we take out the walls to increase the size of the kitchen , we will have a pvc/glass door into the garage and this will be seen from the lounge. We want o put an American fridge/freezer into the new space and move the existing breakfast bar (to create more movement space). Searching for ideas and inspiration. Thanks.

PRO7 years agoJust checking...........are you taking out these two walls?
I would imagine that the glass door to the garage is an External Grade door and not an internal one. However, you would be able to change the door for something that more closely matches internal ones, such as these:-
It would need to be External Grade though to ensure that the room stays warm enough.

Comments (10)Thank Oasys, I really like that transformation. I've given plenty of consideration to drawers and pull out storage so as to fully access all cabinets. I'm hoping mine will have a similar finish but thinking of a wood effect laminate worktop. Not sure about the flooring yet as wood might be too much. Having seen the lighting on those cabinets I'm now being swayed toward this idea instead of a simple centre arrangement. And what it the width of the corridor? And the wall next to the garage door?

Also, you're not planning to replace the kitchen I guess? Since it seems to be in pristine condition? Perhaps just create a niche in the corridor wall, to create space for a fridge and some extra storage space? Less hassle with new floortiles and other finishes. The breakfast bar would have to go then though..
