Black/charcoal or a pale version of the green? Or a very pale grey wallpaint above the white tile. What are you doing with the wood ceiling? When used as a feature, you could use a hint of victorian and industrial in a more modern setting.

Personally I don't think the marble effect plus hex floors look good with the square wall tile from the example. But I do get your inspiration. Be careful with tiling the entire shower that green though, perhaps the back wall in green has enough impact.

So basically this picture I’m going to send now, we were planning to have the opposite: the grey parts white and the white grey. I wanted to have the whole shower area bottle green but wife feels like that will make the room look smaller.

We’re going for a contemporary/minimalist/sleek look.

Oh it’s ok. Thanks you. I wanted to go with a herringbone affect in the shower area. I just didn’t want to have plain white shower area but I guess we could do what you suggest with the grey grout.

From what I've read, I gather you aren't replacing the bathroom suite. In which case I would advise you to do something similar to the grey and white bathroom pic you've sent.

Have the shower area fully tiled, in white not green. I think green will make the space feel smaller and darker.

For the rest of the bathroom, you can go half tiled, in white not green. You can arrange the tiles in either Herringbone bone style or subway style.

Then I would suggest painting the top half of the tiled walls in order to introduce the green colour. However I don't think bottle green is the right colour to go with grey and white, especially if you're wanting a minimalist feel to it. Try exploring other lighter shades of green. Valspar have an extensive range of paint colours or you could get your own shade mixed.

We are replacing the whole suite. Im using a wall hung toilet, a wall hung vanity and brushed gold taps. The wall hung vanity is ash grey - wood texture. The taps are contemporary and the shower screen has a black edge to it. Also we have a minimalist/contemp black rad.

I can describe how I ‘feel’ I want to room to look like. I want the bathroom to be sleek yet homely. I want it to be minimalist but still have character. I want really ‘clean lines’, for it to look spacious and have that wow factor. I’ve already bought most the materials, that’s include brushed brass/gold taps. A black rad and a shower screen with a black edge. The vanity unit is ash grey. All ideas are welcome.

Use a light to medium moss/sage green instead of bottle green. If you and your partner both adore green, it's ok to use it for an accent tile. If not, use it for wallpaint, since painting walls is an easy diy job (have another color in a day).

Too late not to invest in the bottle green tiles! I have quite a few of them and I would've loved to use them with the contrast on the brushed brass/gold shower.

In terms, of the grouting, I don't know whether to go with grey, or keep it white?

I love the green in the 2nd pic but I'm worried it will make the room look smaller however, this is a large wet room in my opinion.

Where is the best place to purchase spot lights from and any ideas on a contemporary wall light?

We have a fab cafe/bookshop nearby and they have used green tiles behind the counter. We love it, in fact my sister is going to copy the design for her new cloakroom. She’s going the full Victorian look with traditional sanitary ware and a brass tap. I agree this isn’t a contemporary look at all but it’s certainly very hip and trendy! It looks great. I guess this may contradict what I've said but I want to create my own style but at the same time, I don't want the room to clash or look strange.

What size is your green tile?

10 x 20 Cm.

This back wall we are having done in a different tile formation. What colour should we go with? Rest of the room is grey and white and they are same size metro tiles in brick formation.

And you've already bought white tiles too?

Personally I guess I'd use the green tile on the window wall, so the sink and toilet will pop. And give the rest a fresh look (or a dramatic). Not sure how that would look with your vanity and lvt though.. If you're mixing, plan it well, since bathrooms are not an easy job you can do over if you're not satisfied..
