Advice please on improving layout with minimum changes

We would love to have an open living/dining area but don’t have a huge budget. We think knocking through the kitchen/dining room would be expensive so perhaps just creating a central wide opening between the two rooms could work instead. It would mean moving the cooker which is currently on that wall...not sure where that would then be best placed? Perhaps moving kitchen cupboards and fridge/freezer to the left (as you look towards the kitchen doors). Possibly putting in bifolds that curve around the bottom right hand corner of the kitchen as we have a large decked space to the right had side of the house that it would be great to make more accessible. The budget we’re considering for making any changes is approx £10k. Any ideas or experiences of reconfiguring a 1930s semi would be greatly appreciated.
