Can I remove myself from an ideabook?

When I start out with a new client I always start an ideabook for them. I would like for them to be able to continue using the ideabook when we are no longer working together without it being part of MY ideabooks. I have way too many ideabooks to keep track of at this point and because they are shared I can't even delete them. Advice?

Hey there!

If you created the ideabook/are the owner of the ideabook, you can remove the collaborators from the ideabook(s). If you are not the owner of the ideabook, you can remove yourself as a collaborator from the ideabook(s).

See steps below:

1. Click on the ideabook

2. In the top right of the screen, click on the profile icons that are next to "+ invite"

3. In the first pop-up window below the insert email box, click on "Edit"

4. In the next pop-up window, click on "Can Edit" next to your username

5. In the drop-down menu, select "Remove User"

After you are done making changes, make sure to click the green "Done" or "Save" button at the bottom of the pop-up to save these changes.

Thank you! But what if I'm the owner of the idea book and want to allow the client to still use it but would like to remove myself. Is that possible?

hi Becky, It is hard to say for sure the cause, it could be down to the paint being applied on a poor substrate with dust , damp surface or you could have a damp issue. the best thing to do is to rub down the remaining paint to ensure a good key and to remove any flaking paint. You can fill and rub down any ridge between the paint on the wall and the plaster with a good fine surface filler., toupret fine surface filler is excellent and will give a good finish. clean the wall with a sugar soap and you will be ready for your new paint or wallpaper application. hope this helps!! best Rowland

Is it the rubber seal? If it is I used to remove mine by sliding it off from left to right. You can get replacement seals quite easily from plumbers merchants, DIY stores (if they are open) or online.

Haha - I only know because we had issues with plaster tape at our last house. Plaster tape is used where 2 plaster boards meet. Yes I would recommend peeling it off and replacing it - it does come on a roll. I would take off as much of the paint that comes off with it. For putting the tape back on - I recommend applying watered down pva under it then sticking the new plaster tape spread some more pva on top and the a skim of ready mixed plaster. Then prime the area and repaint. There are tons of really helpful guides online that can step you through it.

Thank you both! It was actually a really simple solution, my brain just couldn’t fathom at first. 😅 The wall brackets themselves were lose, so they were sagging and putting pressure on the bracket and the screw, so no matter how much i turned the screw it made no difference. 🤦‍♀️ I finally twigged though, and after tightening the bracket, i now have a fresh pair of curtains up! Hoorah.
