Comments (35)whizzywig and Man About the House, I have measured and measured and it seems I can’t have a shower more than 80x 80cm after the stud wall , that leaves me 80cm for basin. My concern is if it’s too small a shower, and we will all be mostly using the shower, it maybe too tight. It’s also not a lot of space for two ppl to stand at the basin with storage at the bottom and being hindered by the shower glass on one end and open door at the other. I would not take the basin or rad or anything behind the door as it’s really awkward using it. .. still thinking about this. Am I trying to cram too much in when I and not getting enough room for shower or basin, when I can have a roomy shower in the bathtub ( it’s 1500 x 950) and a twin sinks with counter space ( especially as the girls grow and more than on one will be in there at the same time. I know having a separate bath and shower is a luxury, but only one person can be in there showering or bathing at one time given that they all like their privacy even now....See MoreBathroom layout help
Comments (9)I don't think you have the room for an oblong shower. It leaves you with only a 60cm gap to put the vanity. The toilet looks weird if you don't put it in the middle of the window too. Although, if you do put it in the middle of the window, you may have room for a little more storage on the right hand wall as you walk in . The vanity in your plan would have to go right up to the glass of the shower, as the bath will unlikely to be no less than 700 wide. 700 plus 600 for the vanity and 800 for the shower is 2100mm ( your total ) I think you can improve on this layout. You can get baths with storage underneath. I'd change the shower for an offset quadrant at 800 x 1200mm. I'd move the Vanity and Toilet to the right hand wall and have a combination vanity / toilet. You can then fit extra storage in to the gap between the shower and the boiler without making it look cramped....See MoreClassic and Cosy Master Bathroom
Comments (0)From the looks of our story poll last Friday, you all love our client Tracy’s modern traditional bathroom! This classic and cosy bathroom was designed by #MBRDesigner Milena and was a continuation of the luxury vibes from the rest of this client's home. Milena suggested bringing the mirrors away from the walls slightly and adding LED lights around them to create a beautiful warm glow. Black and gold angled wall lights add additional task lighting which is essential in bathrooms for your daily preening! And the brick feature wall provides texture and warmth amongst vast expanses of marble. However what makes this bathroom really pleasing to the eye is the use of symmetry thanks to the expansive vanity, double sinks and mirrors.
