Reducing the height of our new Danish Coffee table....
Comments (2)18inches or 450mm is the standard height. Have you thought about raising the sofa? You can buy cups to lift them, I have also made them for clients before. I hope this helps and saves you having the cut the table down. At least this was you can lower the sofa again after if you don't like it...See MoreUpdating an Ercol coffee table?
Comments (8)Very pretty item. So all i can say is that I bought a similar colour item (maybe teak wood? - perhaps someone will know from my pic below!) and it was in a state when I got it. I forgot to take the before pics which was a mistake. Would have be nice to have. Was very stained too with cup marks and more. I had no idea what I was doing really but managed to borrow an electric sanding machine and also did the final parts by hand using different grades of sandpaper (down to finest grade). I oiled it a few times with Danish oil when sanding was done. I think my finished product was lovely. Perhaps it will inspire you to do yours. I sold mine on. I sort of regret now as it took me a good many hours of work and I really liked it -- but hadn't really a place for it :( Best of luck and it will be worth it. Share the pics perhaps when you are done!...See MoreDo you have a coffee table in front of the TV?
Comments (19)In the middle of a long drawn out revamp, coffee table relegated to the tip, it absence planned to last unsuitable within the new decor. But I missed it.!!!! And needs must. I discovered that using our old, 'long tall Sally' wooden stool was actually great for my coffee cup and nibbles. Matter of fact it looks rather cool. So I'm on the look out for a twin for my next project. Just need to decide what colour to paint them....See Morecoffee table advice
Comments (10)What do you think of a vintage style rug like this? I think something like that will work nicely too. Difficult to say if this particular colour will be right, but there are loads of other options too. It does look like there's some grey in it. And if the background is cream, it will tie in with the dining chairs. http://www.benuta.co.uk/velvet-vintage-rug-taupe-29995.html...See More- 6 years ago
