Hey Erin. Nice choice in worktop! The matt white and marble mix could i think work with any colour handle (black, silver, brass etc) so would just depend the kind of look you're going for. Black would be a nice bit of definition against the light colours. Found this nice example of brass/gold being used with those colours. And also an example of black; do you like the use of different types of handles for different cupboards?

The handles you like look modern, is this the kind of style you want to go for?

Wow nice examples! They both look great which is good but that doesn't help you make a decision does it! :D They each bring a different look; the black feeling a little more sleek, clean and smart. Whilst the brass feels warm, modern, fun and brings a bit of edge. What kind of vision do you have for the kitchen?

Another thing to consider is the other elements you'll be adding in; appliances on show, storage pots, wall decor, fabrics (windows/tea towels etc). What do they look like and how will they work and which knobs might look best amongst all these things.

Thank you very much for the replies and ideas and sorry I am late replying... having lots of work done so this is one decision of many I am having to make at the moment! I suppose our style is more modern. I am drawn to grey, black and white in terms of neutrals but also like to have lots of bright colour with furnishings and art etc. I love the suggestion of brass but thinking about the rest of the space (open plan with grey sliding doors) I think the black will probably work best. Just hoping it will look modern rather as have seen most white cabinets and black knobs are from more traditional or shaker kitchens.

I like slim black handles on a pale kitchen (horizontal and about 15cms wide), especially when there are several little black accents around (lamp, window frame, etc) and they make the cooktop and oven blend in.

Hi Erin, LOVE the worktop you have chosen. Have you considered using no handles at all and having push in/out door openers instead? This would compliment the simple and minimalist design of the worktop and keep everything pure. Sometimes handles can make an elegant design feel a bit busy but if you have your heart set on handles then you could perhaps think of using handles just on the base units and then going for the push in/out door openers on the wall units. I would stay away from black. Black fixtures are very popular at the moment and look great but you have the softness of the concrete and white so go for something that is softer and warmer in tone to compliment these. They also won't date so quickly. If you do decide to do away with handles all together, the eye will naturally be drawn to other parts of your kitchen and you can throw more emphasis on the flooring and worktop. It's down to your own personal preference. You are off to a good start with what you have chosen. Good luck!

Thank you for responses rinq and kurys. We've gone for black knobs in the end... hopefully I won't regret it but perhaps not too difficult to change if I do!
