Bathroom tile help needed

We have a large ish bathroom which we are re doing. I’ve ordered dark grey gloss cabinets and sink unit but I’ve no idea what tiles to put on the wall. I think dark grey will be too dark and I don’t like gloss tiles or marble And white will be too clinical - any ideas? The tiles will be crucial to pulling this off so thank you in advance.

I would consider patterned floor tiles and plain large format wall tiles. The dark colour of the units is very dominant, so a patterned tile would balance it in my opinion. Large format wall tiles in the right colour such as Porcelanosa dover acero would look seamless (bottom image). They have a sale on at the moment,

Hi. The mosaics are beautiful and I think what is throwing you off with the white tiles is that they are matt and not gloss, when the sink and toilet are shiny and the mosaics are shiny. I think it looks good so far and what would really help is to paint the window frame. I would usually say to use semi-gloss, but in this case, try a matt white paint to tie in the white tiles. Still use a moisture-resistant bathroom/kitchen paint to make it last longer. I would put a tall and narrow mirror above the sink in either a venetian style or with a frame that picks up on one of the abalone/capiz shell colours in the mosaic tile (it is difficult to tell exactly what colours are there on my monitor). That will help carry the reflective nature of your mosaics around the room. The pictures below are for ideas only (some only ship within the US, some are crazy prices, and none are the right shape!). Don't mix your tiles colours....It will feel bigger if you stick to just one colour. To be fair the window is enormous for the room so you already have something to break up the tiles! If you want the room to look more polished like a hotel bathroom I would have dark grout and add brushed steel trims. Have the trims on all the window corners and then add trim at picture rail height and another at skirting board height. Make sure the grout lines match on the floor and walls. If you are having a floating toilet and vanity make sure your towel rail pipes come out of the wall not the floor. In my opinion underfloor heating is well worth the minor cost. A slatted blind may trick your eye into thinking the room is bigger although I might investigate if your local glass merchant can fit a mirror behind the vanity- this could be fitted with the same fittings that would hold a glass balcony secured top and bottom of the window recess and you could have a simple roller blind behind it.

Hi. I'm a bit confused, have you bought the vanity and are looking to paint it? Is the rest of the bathroom fitted as you could add brass or copper taps for instance with a matching mirror? Accessories will also warm it. I like a little wooden stool in a bathroom which you can add accessories to i.e. A candle, natural sponge, flannel etc which has some texture. A plant on the window sill if you have one and then nice accessories for the sink and either some coloured towels or I like hammam ones. I've found a couple of pics but they may not post as houzz has issues :( These are using deep rich colours which may bring the cabinet towards you a little. A darker top for the vanity would also work
