Comments (18)I did wonder if I could get away with paint instead of tiles. The room is just too small for two tables. One wall will be bare to free up space. One wall is the understairs cupboard, where the fridge freezer will be, one wall has the window and sink, one will have the cooker in the chimney breast and a full height pantry in one of the niches. The other niche I was planning to put kitchen units including a corner unit connected to the sink unit. Here's a plan which also shows how the current kitchen will be converted into a shower room and utility....See MoreAntique mirrored glass kitchen splashback
Comments (19)Toughened vs non-toughened have been a dilemma for kitchen owners for a while. The objective truth is that yes toughened glass is stronger and heat resistant, but due to significant price difference sometimes it makes sense to take risk and just replace mirror in case of breakage, which will still be cheaper than buying full toughened from the beginning, especially taking in consideration that non-tgh antique is stock product and you don’t need to wait for 2-3 weeks for production. If you are looking for simple coloured or printed glass, then definitely go for toughened since price difference is insignificant and it’s not only safer and heat resistant, but also 4-5 times stronger to impact which is good against accidental hits. The other important fact is that broken mirror can bring you bad luck for 7 years!:) so only choose professionals for your installation. We are now producing probably over 100 splashbacks per month with fair share of toughned mirrors so happy to help!...See MoreHelp with Kitchen splashback/Wall protection
Comments (18)Hi Amy, Have a look here, it is our splashback and other glassworks catalogues: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1lNMo-zjO2Qm1domfNMNmhrBYxmX23d6x/view?usp=sharing We do all of the splashbacks by UV printing method, you might want to learn more about it before buying splashback because if you will be going for printed one, there are many cheap alternatives that i.e. require reprinting in few years. UV Printing lasts for 70+ years. Moreover, by UV you can also do the plain colour splashback that you initially decided for, but it is going to be slightly cheaper. Have a look on pricing here https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/232760255417 Are you looking for some samples or real pictures? I can have a walk through our workshop with a camera as we have one (60x60cm) black splashback in stock waiting to be posted. #Edit: Toughened and Heat resistant is a must-have feature! Otherwise, it will not usually last for longer than few weeks, it is too easy to smash annealed glass (standard type)....See More- 6 years ago
